"County Resident 25 Years Victim of Heart Ailment; Rites Monday. Charles B. Calvert, 67, a resident of Pickaway co for the last 25 years, died at his home in Tarlton early Saturday [Oct. 25, 1913] of a heart ailment. Mr. Calvert farmed in the Tarlton vicinity before moving to the village about two years ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Calvert; two sons, Elta and Jesse of Columbus, and two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Skidmore, Canal Winchester, and Mrs. Sylvia Riffle, Circleville R.F.D. Funeral services were held Monday [October 27, 1913] at 2 p.m. in the Tarlton M. E. church with Rev. Samuel Elsea officiating. Burial was in Tarlton cemetery in charge of H. E. Defenbaugh & Son."
