Sarnia Observer, Ontario, Canada - Sept. 19, 1939 (page 3) " Michael Walsh, aged 72, of Oil Springs, Passes Oil Springs, Sept. 19 - (Special) The death of Michael Walsh, aged 72 years, occurred in the Petrolia Hospital last evening after a lengthy illness. Mr. Walsh was born in 1867, and he was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Walsh, of Stoney Point, Ohio. The family moved to Oil Springs about 1884 and the deceased had resided there ever since. For 50 years he was employed on the oil wells of the Fairbank estate and he retired about a year ago. He is survived by one sister, Mary Walsh. He was unmarried and was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
