I don't know which newspaper it came from or the date, but I have his date of death as 10/21/1946. "Matthew G. Augenstein, 71, well known resident of Adams Twp., died Monday at 6:30 p.m. at his home one and a half miles north of Lowell, following illness. Mr. Augenstein was born Nov. 6, 1875 near Lowell and was a son of Matthew and Mary L. Augenstein. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie M. Dobbins Augenstein, whom he married Oct. 15, 1899, and sons and daughters who are HERBERT AUGENSTEIN of the home; MRS EFFIE STEPHENS of Beverly; ARZA AUGENSTEIN of Lowell; MRS. ALICE ACKLEY of Lowell Rural Route and CECIL AUGENSTEIN of Columbus. Brother and sister are MARTIN AUGENSTEIN of Akron and MRS WILLIAM H CLARK of Marietta. Half-brothers are FRED AUGENSTEIN of Marietta and CHURCH AUGENSTEIN of Florida. There are 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Lowell Christian Church. Rev. George Koch will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery at Lowell.
