Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2001 19:50:31 EST Mrs. Margaret Balmat died at her home on Railroad Street, Monday morning at two o'clock. Her sickness, which was caused by paralysis, extended over a period of a year, during which time she was very feeble but never complained. Her age was sixty-four years. Mrs. Balmat was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bideaux. She was born on the farm which is now owned by Albert Pey, north west of Louisville, and resided there until her marriage to August Balmat in November of 1867. Their married life was most congenial and Mr. Balmat deeply feels his loss. They have been residents of Louisville for many years and Mrs. Balmat was held in high esteem, she being pleasant, kind and a devout Christian. Funeral services were held at St. Louis Catholic church Wednesday morning, and the attendance was very large. The services were in charge of the Pastor, Rev. Father Senner. Interment was made in St. Louis Cemetery. Born; May 20, 1847. Died Nov. 6, 1911. Submitted by Anita A.
