He was the son of Andrew and Mary Frost, of near Willetsville, Ohio and was married to Rebecca Wilkin in October, 1863. To this union were born eight children, seven of which are still living, four sons and three daughters, to mourn their loss. Mr. Frost united with the Christian Church at Fairview, about twenty-nine years ago, and lived an earnest and active Christian until his death. He was a good citizen, well known, and highly estemed by all, a loving husband and a devoted father. Mr. Frost was a union soldier and the Grand Army conducted their services at the grave. He fell heir to that dreaded disease, consumption, and he slowly descended to the grave. Medical aid, the ministry of loving children and friends and the desire to live for wife and children availed nothing, but like the slow ebbing of the tide his soul passed to the beyond. Dear husband and father On earth we do roam. But over the river You beckon us home. So we'll wait for the boatman To pilot us O'er. And we'll all meet at home, On that beautiful shore. Card of Thanks. We desire to extend our sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors for their sympathy and help during the sickness and death of our loving husband and father. Mrs. Rebecca Frost and Children PS For those who may not know, consumption is the disease tuberculosis or TB. ______________________________ ------------------------------ X-Message: #6 Date: Wed, 17 Jan 2001 02:57:46 -0500 From: "MaggieOhio" To: OH-FOOTSTEPS-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <074901c0805d$11a4c9e0$0300a8c0@local.net> Subject: Fw: Jeff.
