Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed The following obituary is from the Monday, 12 March 2001, Hillsboro, Ohio "Times-Gazette", page 2, col. 1: "ZELMA SWAYNE KNAUFF. 1915 - 2001. Zelma Swayne Knauff, 86, of Peebles, died Saturday, March 10, 2001 at the Adams County Hospital Emergency Room. She was born on Feb. 6, 1915 in Peebles, the daughter of William and Ona (Freeze) Swayne. She was a 1933 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Knauff on Jan. 4, 1988; four brothers, Russell Swayne, Lester Swayne, Lloyd Swayne and Dennis Swayne; and sister, Weltha Daulton. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arlyn and Barbara Knauff, of Peebles, Maurice and Nancy Knauff, of Peebles; two brothers, Dean Swayne, of Peebles, Lowell Swayne, of Hillsboro; three sisters, Opal Browning, of Peebles, Ermalene Rhoades, of Peebles and Kay Cofer, of West Union; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dave Hopkins and Marlyn Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
