All are from the Columbus Dispatch. Monday, 19 January 1942 Thomas J. Murray Thomas J. Murray, Noted Singer Dies Appeared with Boston Opera, Russian Symphony Thomas James Murray, age 57, lifelong resident of Columbus and former well-known dramatic tenor, died at his home, 939 Madison avenue, Sunday, following a lingering illness. Member of a musical family, Mr. Murray began his career with the Al G. Field minstrels, later doing concert work with the Boston Civic Opera Co. His last work was with the Russian Symphony orchestra. He also did some composing. Mr. Murray is survived by six sisters and a brother, Mrs. Frank Eckenrode, Mrs. Garrett oCtter, the Misses Ellen, Margaret, Maria, and Anne, of the home, and William Murray of the home. Friends may call at the residence until time of the funeral, which will be held in St. Joseph's cathedral at 9 a. m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Calvary cemetary, under direction of Egan-Ryan. (A picture of the deceased is printed in paper.) Antonio Sabia Antonio Sabia, Age 53, Dies Following Illness Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in St. John the Baptist church for Antonio Sabia, age 53, of 1683 Windsor avenue, whose death occurred Sunday in University hospital following four months' illness. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at John Quint & Son funeral home until time of the funeral. Mr. Sabia was a cement worker for the Armstrong Construction Co. at the Columbus airport. He came to Columbus 30 years ago from St. Lucia de Melo, Italy. His wife, Mrs. Rosa (* typist's note: her name was actually Rose) Sabia, with a daughter, Carmela and two sons, Mathew and Frank Sabia, survive him. 22 December 1942, page 6A (My copy is not the best, some names and/or info are hard to read, especially the numbers.
