He was born August 8, 1870, in Lindsey ,Ohio, the son of Daniel S. and Sarah Houser Strawman. He was a graduate of Heidelberg College and Chicago Theological Seminary. Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Mr. Strawman's brother-in-law Rev. J.E. Hartman, of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., officiating. Burial will be at Drakesburg. Mr. Strawman is survived by his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Cook, of Cleveland, and anna Ruth, at home; three sons, Edwin L. of Kent, Daniel of Freedom and Dwight of Willard; and three sisters and three grandchildren. To this union three children were born--B. FRANK, living at Elk Point, South Dakota; MRS. LOTTIE WARREN, living in East Des Moines and MARY J. CRAIGO, living in Leon. They moved from Ohio and settled in Iowa in l853 and arrived in Leon May l4, l854, being one of the earliest inhabitants. JUDGE, as he was familiarly known, served all through the late rebellion. In his late years he lived a sort of retired life, which is demonstrated in the text which he requested to be read at his burial--II Cor. 4:6-l0 and 5:l-l0. He was buried by the G.A.R.
