Martha Ellen Barnhart, 70, of Bainbridge died at 7:56 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001 at the Greenfield Area Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1931 in Ross County, the daughter of Harold D. Hester and Nora (Spurgeon) Hester. She is survived by her husband, Donald 'Jake' Barnhart, whom she married on Nov. 10, 1951; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Lloyd Clouser, of Bainbridge; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Sharmin Barnhart, of Bainbridge, Rodger and Marsha Barnhart, of Chillicothe, and Jeff and Lori Barnhart, of Bainbridge; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, seven sisters and four brothers.
