Unfortunately, she did not keep the name of the newspaper, or the date of the obituary. "HESTER. Elmer A. Hester, 68, 11325 Pearl st, Los Angeles, Calif., died Monday at 4:30 a.m. in Santa Monica Hospital, Santa Monica, Calif. Born Feb. 16, 1903 in Ross County, he was a son of David and Mary Jane Grieves Hester. On May 28, 1930, he married the former Stella Hobill, who survives. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hester is survived by a sister, Bessie Seville, of Columbus. He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. Last rites will be read Friday at 2 p.m. in the Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Noble Miller officiating. Interment will be made in South Salem Cemetery. Debra Lynn Surber, 17, South Salem, died 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at her residence of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Born June 15, 1959, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Ray V. and Mary Ellen Wagner Surber, of South Salem. A junior at McClain High School, she was a member of the Friends Church in Centerfield. Surviving are her parents; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Surber, Frankfort Rt. 2; her maternal grandfather, Ransom Wagner, Bainbridge Rt. 1; a brother, Michael R. Surber, South Salem, and three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Karen) Wheaton, Greenfield; Mrs. Don (Jean) Richards, Leesburg, and Mrs. Rick (Brenda) Wagoner, Bainbridge. Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Murray's Funeral Home, Greenfield. Rev. Frank Dunn will officiate and burial will be in South Salem Cemetery.
