Turns out it isn't the man I was looking for, so if this is your relative I'll mail you the packet. Jewell 10/14/1868 in Jacksontown, Licking Co., OH. He enlisted 11/7/1864 as a Private in Co. D in the 9th reg. of the IA infantry. & discharged 7/18/1865. He died 2/8/1902 in I think Licking Co.,OH. It states he was "of Licking Co., OH". They had 2 children: Charles born 8/8/1869 & Ida born 2/18/1871. Eliza appears to have died 7/6/1829 in Lakeland, FL. Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed The following obituary was in the Monday, 22 September 1997 issue of the Washington C.H., Ohio "Record-Herald", page 2: "A. N. (AL) REZKALLA. Abdel-Sayed N. (Al) Rezkalla, 64, of 241 S. East St., New Holland, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997 at 1:40 p.m. at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Rezkalla was born May 28, 1933 in Cairo, Egypt to Naquib and Galina Rezkalla. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and his Master in Business Administration in Finance from Long Island University in New York, N.Y. Mr. Rezkalla lived and worked in many parts of the United States and Canada as well as abroad. In recent years, he worked for the Ohio Department of Development and the City of Columbus in Neighborhood Development. He was retired at the time of his death. Among his many interests were his love of art and music. He was a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church. He was preceeded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice and Kawsar Naquib. Mr. Rezkalla is survived by his wife, the former Linda Wisecup whom he married June 6, 1970; two sons, J. Spencer Rezkalla of Novi, MI and Justin P. Rezkalla of Columbus; sisters, Sophie and Bahga of Cairo, Egypt; brother, Nabil of Athens, Greece and their children. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Norma E. Wisecup of New Holland; brothers-in-law and their wives, Darrell and Glenna Wisecup of Williamsport and Gary and Sandy Wisecup of Circleville and their children. The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with the Rev. David Yinger, pastor of the New Holland United Methodist Church, officiating. A picture of Mr. Bowman accompanies the obituary in the newspaper. "HAROLD "DEAN" BOWMAN. Harold 'Dean' Bowman, 73, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed from this life June 27, 2000, at Franciscan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born to the late William D. and Grace Ward Bowman, August 25, 1926, in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Park; and two brothers, Ward and James Bowman. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Hixson Bowman; two sisters, Maxine Lawhorn and Anne Clemmons; and one brother, Gordon Bowman. Also remaining are the very dear members of his church family, Chillicothe Baptist Church, where he was a faithful and dedicated member. Dean was loving and kind to all who knew him, having a special bond with children and youth. He served in the U.S. Army December 13, 1944 through August 16, 1946. He was an employee of Chillicothe Telephone Co. for 34 years, enjoyed his horses and farming most of his life, and was a member of the Draft Horse Association and Percheron Horse Association. Funeral services will be held at Chillicothe Baptist Church, Clinton Rd., at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, with Pastor John Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad. Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Haller Funeral Home. A graduate of McClain High School, Mr. Hamilton was a Greenfield Eagles member, former chairman of the Greene Countrie Towne Festival, former track coach, Greenfield Firefighters Association member, and had received the Y-Gradale Service Award. He was a member of the Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and served in the Korean Conflict. For 30 years, he worked as a meat cutter for the Kroger Company. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Cox) Hamilton, whom he married October 28, 1950; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve E. Hamilton of Greenfield, George F. and Mary Hamilton of Michigan, and Frederick D.
