Maurer Samuel Maurer died Nov. 11th 1882, at the home of his son, Fred Maurer, of heart disease. Aged 68 years, 3 months and 26 days. The deceased was born July 14, 1814 baptised Aug. 1st 1814, cofirmed 1831. Married 1837 to Varina Fisher, had 5 children, 3 males and 2 females. The mother and two children died. Second marriage to Elizabeth Suter. Had 5 children, 4 males and 1 females. The mother and two children also died. He left his home in Attywil,Switzerland, March 26th, 1854, with his wife and seven children and settled in Thompson Twp., Seneca Co., O., where he resided till death. Was a member of Zions Reformed church, where the funeral serveice took place Nov. 13th, 1882. Sermon by Rev. Renter, of Monroeville. Text Luke 2-27-8.
