"Rene", and her husband, Glen, lived at the intersection of Lower Twin Road and Wisecup Hill Road in Ross County, Ohio. "RYAN. Rena Ryan, 84, of 113 Jefferson St., Greenfield, and formerly of Lower Twin Rd., Lyndon, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday, August 4, 1986 in the Greenfield Area Medical Center following a lingering illness. Born March 12, 1902 in Pike County she was the daughter of Alec and Lillie Spurgeon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Ryan, on Feb. 10, 1980. She is survived by one son, Ralph Ryan, of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Bertha) Neel of Londonderry, Mrs. Darlene Chapman of Greenfield, and Mrs. Lewis (Florence) Burgess of Leesburg; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Hoffman of Fruitdale and Mrs. Harry (Nora) Smith of Greenfield, and a brother, Lafe Spurgeon of Greenfield. Mrs. Ryan was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Clarence, and a sister. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Murray's Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Salem Cemetery.
