He leaves a wife and four children to morn his lose. The funeral occurred at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Interment was to Fairview Cemetery ------------------------ appeared 9-16-1897 Funeral of Miss Yost The remains of Miss Rosa Yost, who died in a hospital in Columbus Saturday were brought to the sad home in this city Saturday evening, from which place the funeral occurred Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Pinkerton officiated. The remains were then taken to the silent city of the dead and placed in the tomb. --------------------- appeared 9-16-1897 A PARALYTIC STROKE Results in the Death of Aaron R. Curl of Mt. Victory. Died Thursday Morning at 5 o'clock--Funeral at Mt. Victory, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Conducted by the Odd Fellows. Aaron R. Curl of Mt. Victory, died at his home at Mt. Victory, Thursday morning. Mr. Curl suffered a paralytic stroke about five weeks ago which left him in a critical condition from that time to his death. The members of the present Fair Board are now wearing cape (?) on their coats in honor of the deceased member. When a ---? concerning the death and funeral of Mr. curl, all the members of the Board kept for him the warmest and sincere praise. They spoke of his faithful and efficient service and how ------? Energetic he was and of how willing and ready he always was to give everything he could to promote their interest of the Agricultural Society. Mt. Victory has lost in Mr. Curl one of its most substantial and upright citizens, and the Hardin County Fair Board ------? The funeral was held in Mt. Victory at 1 o'clock Sunday, and the services will be conducted by the Odd Fellows, of which the late Mr. Curl was a member in excellent standing. ***the question marks (?) indicate places that weren't readable. -------------------- appeared 9-16-1897 The many friends of Mrs. Emma Pfeiffey -Enz (end of that name not readable), will be shocked to hear of her death. Mrs. A. W. Gerlach received the message of her demise; it was the result of cancer, but up to the last week every hope of her recovery was entertained. She was a very patient sufferer, never moaning, knowing that her sickness was of so serious a nature. She was well known in this city, as she spent the earlier part of her life here. She leaves a husand, two daughters, and one son to mourn her sudden departure. Her life was that a true Christian and ?? mourn not as those without hope. Mrs. G. --------------- appeared 8-26-1897 CORONERS INQUEST IN THE DETRICK MURDER CASE COMPLETED. Coroner McCracken has completed his inquest and has been unable to find anything that will lead to the discovery of the perpetrators of this heinous crime. The inquest is as follows: After having heard the evidence and examined the body, I do find that the deceased came to their death at the hands of some person or persons unknown to me, the skull of David Detrick having the appearence of being crushed with some blunt instrument, the skull of Deborah Detrick having the appearance of being crushed with a sharp instrument.
