Feb.4,1890 Columbus, OH Custer, Alkire, Anderson, Stoner Alkire Divorce Case The Circuit Court has refused to disturb the order of the Court of Common Pleas awarding three children, Bertha, aged 18; Howard, 9, and Lewis, 16, to William ALKIRE. Mrs. ALKIRE was given custody of three of the children when she secured her divorce, but wanted the custody of three others given to her husband, so she took an appeal. The Circuit Court holds that the Common Pleas Court has final jurisdiction in the matter. It should not be inferred from this that the holding affects the Church divorce case, for that case goes up on error, not appeal. Mrs. ALKIRE was allowed an increase of $3 per month alimony, making the present allowance $12 per month. ANDERSON Divorce Case George W. ANDERSON this morning sued Mattie ANDERSON, whom he married in Columbus in 1878, for divorce and the custody of two children. Willful absence for six years is the ground. STONER Divorce Petition Sheriff CUSTER has a divorce petition for service on Thomas STONER, a convict, sent from Wood county last November for two years for burglary. Mrs. STONER brings the suit in Medina county.
