He served the bank in several capacities until 1937 when he was elected president. He continued as president of the bank through 1954 when he retired from active duty and became chairman of the board of directors. He was still serving the bank as its chairman in 1962 when the Peoples Bank merged with the HUntington National Bank of Columbus. He was a member of the Groveport Presbyterian Church, Potter Masonic Lodge of which he was a 50-year member and Walnut Chapter No. 172 RAM. He is survived by daughter, Mrs. Glenn F.
