In the book Early Ohio Tax Records, compiled by Esther Weygandt Powell, on pg 270, Montgomery County Tax Records for 1810 I find a Jacob Stoker listed as a resident tax payer in Wayne Township. pg 278 1816 list of Proprietors in Wayne Twp are Jacob Stoker and John Stoker,Sr I did not see a Hughes or a Hughs in Montgomery Co lists in that time frame, but there are 32 Hughes in the book and 17 Hughs. You might find something more in the land records themselves. Madora -------------------------------- End of OH-FOOTSTEPS-D Digest V03 Issue #158 *******************************************
