Killed by Lightning We learn that on Sunday evening, July 29th, the eldest daughter of Mr. Robert MUNDELL, was instantly killed by lightning, at the residence of her father, near Genoa, Scioto township, in this county, while in the act of closing a window. All efforts to resuscitate her were unavailing. Two other members of the family were considerably injured, and the house was somewhat damaged. H. PERRILL, Esq., in Madison township, Pickaway county, January 29th, 1875, Mrs. Christena PERRILL, aged 90 years, 3 months and 7 days. She was born in Hardy county, Va., October 22, 1784; married Nathan PERRILL, and in the Spring of 1816 they came to Ohio, and settled in Madison township, this county, were she resided from that time until her death. Her husband died March 25, 1843, she survived him nearly thirty-two years. The deceased was the mother of five children, Hon. A. L. PERRIL, Z. H. PERRILL, Mrs. Catharine MOORE, Mrs. Mary VAUSE, and a daughter who died in 1854. She also leaves 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mother PERRILL was in good health nearly to the end, her last sickness being of only seven days duration. Thus has passed away another of the early settlers, who connect the pioneer past with the present age.
