She was born in Pickaway county, Sept. 22, 1842, and was therefore aged 54 years, 5 months and 13 days. Mrs. BOWSHER was the daughter of Andrew and Mary WHITESIDE, who emigrated from Ireland, in the beginning of the century, and were among the early pioneers of Ohio. On the 6th day of January 1867, she was joined in marriage to John H. BOWSHER. To this union were born three children, one son and two daughters, the eldest daughter preceding her to the spirit land. Those who survive the mother are Mr. Carey BOWSHER, of Clarksburg, and Mrs. Lizzie STEPHENS, wife of Lyman STEPHENS, who resided with the deceased. The husband and father who is left to mourn his loss, mingles his tears today with the children in their sad bereavement Mrs. BOWSHER was a woman who was greatly devoted to her children, a loving mother, a kind and devoted wife, and a good friend to all. A few moments before she died, she looked up into the faces of those who surrounded her bed and said, "I am ready to go."
