He was married November 25th, 1877 to Mary Younker, and God gave to this home six children, yet He claimed one of these (a son) while it was in its infance. In his passing he leaves remaining, his devoted wife, four sons and one daugter, viz: Levi McCorkle, Dawson, Ohio; Ira D. McCorkle of Glasgow, Montana; Elizabeth Moyer of -----, Ohio; Dr. Charles E. McCorkle, Supt. of City Schools, Kenmore, Ohio; and also thirteen grandchildren and three great grand children. One elder brother also survives him. He became a member of the "Church of the Brethren" in 1878 and through out the remainder of his life, he was faithful to his Christ, and loved the services that were conducted around his bedside. The deceased has been a patient sufferer for the past twenty three years, the last nine years being confined to his bed, and death to him was a sweet release from the bondage of the flesh. -------------------------------- End of OH-FOOTSTEPS-D Digest V03 Issue #79 ******************************************
