West Virginia Pleas before Robt. H. Brewster, Judge of the Court of Probate for and within the County of Meigs and State of Ohio, at a session of said Court begun and held at the court house in the City of Pomeroy on the 18th day of January AD1881. In the matter of the Will of John Price deceased. Motion to admit will to Probate and Record. Be it remembered that heretofore to wit: On the 17th day of November AD1880, came Mary Price widow of John Price deceased by J. Cartwright her attorney and produced to the court an instrument of writing purporting to be a copy of the Last Will and Testament of John Price late of Clifton, Mason County, West Virginia deceased and the probate thereof also her motion that said Will and Certificate of Probate be admitted to record herein. It is therefore ordered that said Motion be set for hearing on the 18th day of January AD1881 at 10 o'clock AM and that Notice thereof be given as required by law. And afterwards to wit: on the 18th day of January AD1881 the following Notice and Proof of Publication was filed herein to wit: State of Ohio Meigs County SS} In the Probate Court in the matter of the Last Will of John Price deceased. Notice is hereby given to all persons interested therein that Mary Price, widow of said John Price and a legatee in said Will on the 17th day of November AD1880 produced in the Probate Court of Meigs County an authenticated copy of the last will of John Price deceased together with an authenticated copy of the Probate thereof, as the same are of record in the County Court of Mason County in the State of West Virginia: and that Mary Price at the same time filed her motion in said Probate Court to have said authenticated copy of said will and the probate thereof so authenticated admitted to record in said Probate Court of Meigs County. I also bequeath to her the said Mary Price my wife, the following personal property as follows, all of the stock belonging to me which I hold in the Excelsior Salt Company doing business in Meigs County Ohio, also all the stock which I hold in the German Salt Company of Mason County West Virginia. The condition of the above will is such that so long as she remains my widow she is to hold and use as her own the property both real and personal which I have named in the will, but in the advent of her remarriage then all of the said property herein mentioned shall be divided equally among my children. I appoint Roger B. Rees of Clifton Mason County West Virginia, executor of this my will. In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my will. Then 10 years later it lists Barbara, age 76/says she was born in New York and so were her parents. /Catherine Adams,age 36 and Lizzie Adams, age 16. There is a Lemuel Littleton in the early 1800's from the Maryland Littleton's. We are wondering if the C was left off and he came to Ohio.
