She united with the First Baptist church of Greenfield, Ohio, in 1904, under the pastorate of Rev. Swift. June 5, 1902 she was united in marriage to Stanley E. Hiatt. To them was born one daughter, but he who said "Suffer little children to come upon me and forbid them not," in His great wisdom took unto Himself the fair bud to bloom in Heaven's garden. Baby has been the chord that has drawn the mother heart to heaven. She often expressed herself impatient to go and be with her little one. For some months past she has stood facing the grim monster, death, but now victory over the enemy is hers. Wednesday evening as the shadows to of night were silently falling, she came to death with no hasty work to do; as the shadows lengthened and as death and eternity approached. Her life was lived, her work work all done, well done, and with her hand firmly clasping the hand of the crucified but triumphant Lord, at peace with God and with the whole world, she quietly stole away to her home beyond the stars and outshone them forever and ever. Alma will be sadly missed from our circle of loved ones, especially by the husband and grandma, whose willing hands so faithfully administered to her every want. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, a father, three brothers, besides many other relatives and friends. ----------------------- September 28, 1911 Hillsboro paper Dan Holladay and family of Westboro, Thos Holladay, of New Vienna, and Jesse Holladay and family of Blanchester, were called here last week by the death of Mrs. Alma Hiatt and were guests of Carey Holladay and wife during their stay. - ----------------------------- September 28, 1911 Hillsboro paper NEW PETERSBURG Mrs. Alma Hiatt, who for many weeks has been a patient sufferer with consumption, passed peacefully to rest, Wednesday evening, September 20, at seven o'clock.
