ARMSTRONG, ADOLPHI BANKER, DEAD Successful Farmer, Business Man Dies After Short Illness at Home **Funeral Friday at 2 ****Four Sons, Four Daughters Survive Hocking Native George H. Armstrong 85, one of the organizers of the Adelphi Banking Co, and its president since 1922, died at his home in Saltcreek Township near Laurelville at 2:45 pm Wednesday. Mr. Armstrong had been ill less than two weeks, his fatal ailment starting when he fell in a barn and suffered shock and bruises. The funeral was Friday at 2 pm in the Adelphi Methodist church, of which he was a devout member, with the Rev. L. C. McClandish officiating. Burial was in Green Summit cemetery by H. E. Defenbaugh and Son. Mr. Armstrong was born near Laurelville in Hocking County in 1851, a son of William and Sarah Fetherolf Armstrong, pioneers in the community. He married Sarah A. Dunkle, Saltcreek township native in 1872. She died in 1929. A daughter Mrs. E. H. Stous also preceded her father in death. Mr. Armstrong spent his entire life within a few miles of farm on which he was born. He was a successful farmer and business and became vice president of the Adelphi Banking Co, when it was incorporated in 1909. He served in this capacity until 1922 when he was elected president. Four Sons, Four Daughters Surviving are fours sons, and four daughters, C. L. and G. H. of Saltcreek township; O, B. cashier in the Adelphi bank; C. L. comptroller of the city of Birmingham Ala; Mrs. A. H. Buchwalter Hilliards, Mrs. J. E. Bitzer Columbus: Mrs. J. M. Boecher Hallsville, and Mrs. D. C. Macklin at home. Robert E.
