Stivers building’s temporary storeroom on Court street. The following cases plus others were disposed of by the time the court adjourned Thursday the 12th. The State Vs James Scott pleads guilty to larceny fined $20 and costs. Defendant had been in jail for five weeks before court case, no added jail time was given. The State Vs Wm. Hopps convicted of assault and battery. Fined $5 and costs had spent the last three weeks in jail no additional jail time given. The State of Ohio Vs Patrick Burns pleads guilty and sentenced to 20 days in jail, fined $50 and costs for keeping house where liquors are sold contrary to law. The State Vs John Golden pleads guilty assessed a fine of $35 and costs. The State VS Joseph Fultz convicted of keeping house where intoxicating liquors are illegally sold, sentenced to 20 days in jail, fined $50 and costs. Sentence is suspended on defendant giving bonds in $300 to prosecue writ of error to District Court. The State Vs James Scott pleads guilty to larceny fined $20 and costs. Defendant had been in jail for five weeks before court case no additional jail time given. The State Vs William Fisher pleads guilty to assault and battery, fined $10 plus costs, imprisoned four days, and to be fed bread and water only. The State Vs R. Knight found not guilty of selling intoxicating liquor to a person in the habit of getting intoxicated. The State Vs Michael Golion charged with selling intoxicating liquors to a minor. Due to no witnesses a nolle pros. was entered and defendant paid costs. The State Vs Robert Lemon found guilty of selling intoxicating liquor to be drank in the place where sold, sentenced to jail for 10 day and fined $20 plus costs. The State Vs Samuel and Geo. Reed charged with larceny, found not guilty by jury. The State Vs Jacob Fultz, found guilty of keeping house where intoxicating liquors are sold illegally, sentenced 20 days in jail, fined $70 and costs. The State Vs Wm. V. Lasher, found guilty of keeping house where liquor is sold contrary to law. Tried by jury, sentenced to 20 days in jail and fined $70 plus costs. On motion, in arrest of judgment, sentence was suspended on bonds of $350.
