The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at the residence, conducted by Rev. J. A. Hoffman, and burial was made in the Hillsboro cemetery. Miss Swadley was the last survivor of her immediate family. ------------------------- MRS. PHILIP HOLLADAY Mrs. Philip Holladay died at the Hillsboro Hospital Wednesday evening. She was 67 years of age and death resulted from lingering ingering illness. The funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Nihizer, and burial was made in the Hillsboro cemetery. Surviving are the husband and two daughters, Mrs. Floyd McCoy, of Peebles, and Mrs. Howard Haines, of Dayton, and five sons, Fay, Noah, Lloyd and Lewis of this city and William of Cleveland. ------------------------ STANLEY RITES Funeral services for Joshua Stanley 28 of Beloit, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry, Hillsboro RFD #1, who died of pneumonia in the Alliance City Hospital, were conducted in Westville. Stanely's widow is the former Leota Henry of this vicinity. ------------------------ THOMAS ROBERTS Thomas Roberts died at his home in Mowrystown, Saturday following an illness of several weeks. He was 75 years of age. The Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the U.B. Church conducted by the pastor Rev. A. N. Gruser, and burial made in the cemetery at Taylorsville. He is survived by five sons, four daughters, one sister, and many friends. ***sorry folks this is where my page ends - ------------------------------------- MARTIN L. CUSHMAN Martin L. Cushman, aged 72 years, died Tuesday, June 14, at his home in Linwood, Cincinnati, following a lingering illness. The funeral services were held at the Linwood, Thursday June 16, and burial made in the cemetery at Newtown. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Ed Lewis of Danville, Mrs. Lewis Lewis, and Charles Shaw of Sugartree Ridge. He had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad for over forty years. His wife was Miss Rachel Shaw, formerly of the Wesley Chapel neighborhood and has many friends in Highland County. Mrs. Lewis Lewis, Wm. C.
