Dr. W. M. Hoyt, Highland County coroner, said Mullenix died of a skull fracture about 2:40 P.M. Thursday, about three hours following the mishap which occurred about 11:30 A.M. Services were held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Buntain & Rhoads funeral home, with Rev. I. E. Lee officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Alice; one brother, Henry M. Mullenix, city; three grandchildren. He was the son of Henry and Catherine Mullenix. Mullenix was repairing a porch roof at his home when he apparently lost his balance and fell several feet to the ground, striking his head on concrete on the ground. Carried into he house, he never regained consciousness, Dr. Hoyt said. He was alone on the roof at the time of the mishap, reports state. HIS LEG INJURY WILLIAM ANDERS, Hillsboro Rt 4, was admitted to Highland Community Hospital, Thursday for treatment of an injury to his lower right leg, suffered while working at Bell's Foundry. JAMES WILLIAM WALSH, seaman recruit USN, son of Ralph Walsh, Hillsboro, is undergoing recruit training at the world's largest Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill. A resident of Jamestown, a formerly of Hillsboro, he had gone fishing about noon Monday and had not returned Tuesday morning. As a result, a search was instituted and he was found about 7 A.M. Tuesday. His body was lying at a point midway between his car and the creek where he apparently had been fishing. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. He was a retired rural mail carrier out of the Hillsboro postoffice. He had worked 30 years at the job, retiring at the age of 54. Later, he operated a tourist cabin establishment here called Hill's Cabins. He had lived in Jamestown for the past several years. He is survived by his wife, Cora; two sons Carl of Dayton and Frederick of Springfield; one daughter Mrs. Louise Chaney Dayton; one sister Mrs. Lang Lemon Hillsboro and one brother Walter of Hillsboro. The Hills moved to Jamestown eight years ago. He was the son of David and Sarah Hill. He and Mrs. Hill had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Oct. 20-1956.
