Now these present witnesseth that the said George RICHARDSON for and consideration of the premises and of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid by the said David BARBER the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath by these presents doth give grant bargain bargain sell and assign unto the said David BARBER all the following described property namely all the stock of goods wares and merchandize now in his store at Sterling in Meigs County in the said State of Ohio and also certain groceries goods wares and merchandize just purchased of said KNOX and MCKEE and also a set of Mill irons to have and to hold the same unto the said BARBER and assigns forever Upon trust nevertheless and with the intent that if the said RICHARDSON shall fail or omit to pay the said four hundred dollars When the same shall become due and payable then and in that case the said BARBER be deserted by the said KNOX and MCKEE so to do shall having ten days notice of the time and place of sale by an advertizement thereof posted on the door of the Court House for said County Meigs procede to sell at the said place called Sterling to the highest and best bider for ready money the goods wares and merchandize and property aforesaid for such part thereof as the said trustee BARBER can then find and out of the proceeds of the sale thereof be said BARBER shall first pay the costs of sale and this deed and 2ndly the amount of the said $400 debt (at the time of sale) and interest thero due thereon or whatever part of said debt and interest may then be due and unpaid the said BARBER shall pay to said KNOX and MCKEE on order of tally shall pay this balance if any to the said George RICHARDSON on order. It is understood and agreed that the said goods wares and merchandise and property aforesaid are to be and reamin in the possession of the said George RICHARDSON until such time as the said KNOX and MCKEE shall order or cause this same to be sold-It is also understood and agreed that the provisions of this deed are to cease and determine and the said deed to be void whenever the said RICHARDSON shall pay the said four hundred dollars and any interest due thereon. W. H. SHAUG of Grahams Virginia in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars and for the payment of which he hath this day given him his bond or single bill payable in twelve months from this date and whereas the said George RICHARDSON is desirous of securing the payment of the same when it shall become due and payable. Now these present witnesseth that the said George RICHARDSON for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Peter LALLANCE all the following described property viz all his household furniture beds beding cooking utensils farming ditto books pictures he now in his house at Sterling together with two cows one steer one horse and cart twenty hogs and the frame of a grist mill at present standing in the land of John and Hugh BROWN in said county and state together with all the rest of his personal property not otherwise disposed of To have and to hold the same unto the said Doct. W. H.
