Little JUANITA FERN VANCE, the eight month old daughter of County Superintendent and Mrs. W. H. Vance, died at the home of her parents in this city on Wednesday night from a complication of diseases. The little sufferer battled valiantly against her adversary but death won. Funeral services will be held t the home at 1:30 pm this afternoon, conducted by Rev. LaVerne Taylor, pastor of the Christian Church, after which the remains will be taken to Union Cemetery for burial. MRS. SUSAN T. BROWN, aged 76 years died at her home in this city last Monday night after many months of suffering from a cancer. She was born in Clinton County and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah McDonald and Mrs. S. O. Statler, one brother, O. J. Thatcher, of Wilmington. She also leaves one son, St. T. McMillan, and two granddaughters, Mrs. T. W. Boatman and Mrs. Philip N.
