Born Seot 27, 1920 in Akron, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Cyrilida Bletch McGrath. He also was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Ear, and Charles. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and member of the First United Methodsit Church of Toronto, Toronto American Legion Post 86, Toronto Alumni Association, Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040 and 95th Infantry Division Association of Chicago. Surviving are his wife, Marie Rethage McGrath, whom he married Dec 15, 1943; tow sons, Robert "Bob" of Olmstead Falls and Michael "Mickey" of Toronto; two daguthers, Mrs. Johnnie (Nancy) Starr and Mrs. Robert (Catherine "Honey") Samuel, both of Toronto; a sister, Charlotte Hawthorne of Columbus, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
