It has been an amazing tool for me, especially in finding maiden names for individuals in my family tree. The website is: http://probate.cuyahogacounty.us/ml/ The dates it gives are *extremely* vague, but you can request a copy of the license. I called today and wanted to give everyone that information. Non-certified copies are $0.10 each (copying fee). Certified copies are $1.00 each. They ask that you only submit 5-10 requests at a time. Otherwise, they will wait until they are all done to send them to you and this can take a lot of time. If you only ask for 5-10, you'll get responses sooner and then can ask for more. The mailing address is: Cuyahoga County Probate Court Lakeside Courthouse 1 Lakeside Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44113 Hope this helps some of you! MCCONNAUGHERY, daughter of Jacob and Rebecca Lucas Hibbs was born near Portsmouth, Ohio June 26-1834, departed this life May 23rd, 1916 aged eighty-one years, ten months and twenty-seven days. She was one of a family of eleven children, the last to answer the Master's call, "come home". Mother McConnaughey united with the Bethany Baptist Church of Rushtown, Ohio at the age of fifteen years, under the preaching of Rev. Davis Vance. From that time to the close of a long, useful and happy life, she strove untiringly to learn her Master's will, and to meet in his strength, the opportunities for service with which He constantly honored her, realizing that God's call as a co-worker in His Vineyard was the greatest privilege that could come to her. She was married to Davis A. McConnaughey Sept 30th 1857. To this union were born six sons and three daughters. The husband, one son, an and one daughter, having preceded her in death. While we deeply mourn our dear mother, yet in her abundant, abiding faith and trust in God, she has left to us a priceless legacy of a beautiful life, and the Saviors' call at eventide, found her waiting and ready to go. - ----------------------------------- Rev Father Burke has been invited to assist Fathers Council and Myers at the nuptial mast in the St. Martins Church, June 21st, which will unite Gertrude the beautiful daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McConn to Joseph Leo, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kreshon. Father Burke will be one of the honored guests at the wedding breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Keeshon will reside in Cincinnati. --------------------------- CARLTON WILLIAMS, a former resident of Centerfield, brother of Mrs. Martin Bryant dropped dead in Xenia, last Tuesday.
