Oh, Micro Roll 343 Written: June 14 1875 Recorded: October 14 1875 I, Melvin Brown of the Township of Hinckley in the County of Medina and State of Ohio, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this, my last Will and Testament. Item 1st I give and bequeath to Etson Brown, son of Josiah Brown, five hundred dollars ($500.00) as hereinafter specified. Item 2nd I give and bequeath to Lois King two hundred dollars ($200.00) as hereinafter specified. Item 3rd I give and bequeath to Rebecca Brown four hundred dollars ($400.00) as hereinafter specified. Item 4th I give and bequeath to Sarah Brown,wife of Josiah Brown; to Nathaniel Porter; to Joseph Porter; to Hannah Call; to Mandavilla Kingsley, daughter of Nathaniel Wyatt, each one hundred dollars ($100.00) as hereinafter specified. Item 5th Of my real estate I give and devise to Levi G. Edgerton all my lands on Lot Number 29 in said Township of Hinckley, on condition that he, the said Levi G. Edgerton, pay to my Executor hereinafter named, the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to be applied in payment of the legacies hereinbefore mentioned: Said one thousand dollars to be paid in four equal annual payments; the first payment to be due and payable one year from my decease, and annually thereafter until paid, without interest until due. Item 6th I give and bequeath to Warner Brown two hundred dollars ($200.00) as hereinafter specified. Item 7th I give and devise to Azetas Brown the residue of my real estate to wit: my lands on Lots number nine, number ten and number twelve in said township of Hinckley; together with the stock, farming tools and other personal property remaining thereon at my decease, on condition; that he, the said Azetas Brown, pay the sum of eight hundred dollars ($800.00)to be applied in payment of the legacies before mentioned, and to be paid in four, equal, annual payments; the first payment to be due and payable one year from my decease, and annually thereafter until paid, & without interest due. Item 8th I do hereby nominate and appoint Azetas Brown to be Executor of this my last Will andTestament, hereby authorizing him to adjust and collect all claims due me; and I hereby enjoin upon him that he promptly pay the legacies hereinbefore mentioned, to wit: To Etson Brown,to Lois King,to Rebecca Brown, to Sarah Brown,to Nathaniel Porter,to Joseph Porter, to Hannah Call, to Mandavilla Kingsley, and to Warner Brown,to each of them the sums herein bequeathed in four equal annual payments, as follows: One fourth of each of the above legacies to be paid in one year from my decease, and one fourth annually thereafter until paid; and without interest until due. I desire that no appraisement and no saleof my personal property be made, and that the Court of Probate direct the omission of the same,in pursuance of the statute. Ido hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 14th dayofJune, A.D. 1875 Signature of Melvin Brown Signed and acknowledged by said Melvin Brown as his last Will and Testament in our presence; and signed by us in his presence. S.F. Codding (?) Milo Hall The Adminstrator says that under the Will of said decedent, L.G. Edgerton was to pay $1,000 and Azetus Brown $800, the amounts of the legacies given in said will to other legatees; that said $1000, & $800, were payable in in four yearly payments and have been paid less the discounts on three last payments which were not due and the several sums charged Administrator above were paid by said Edgerton and Brown under the 5th & 7th items of said will, and have been disbursed as directed in said will as will appear by the credits herein claimed by Adminstrator. Admr files this as his final account with said Estate.
