Marriage License of Submission 'Jane' Cowan and Robert Kirkby.  Jane and 
Robert were married July 26, 1837 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.  
According to pension records neither Jane or Robert had been married before.

Robert was born in Massachusetts and most likely Boston as that is where his 
parents lived and that is where he enlisted in the War of 1812.  He served 
from August 13, 1813 to August 23, 1815 on the US Ship Siren.  Robert's and 
Jane's marriage record was a part of a pension file.  Robert's estimated date 
of birth is 1795.

Jane was born December 23, 1818 in Ohio to FNU Cowan and Elizabeth LNU.  Jane 
had a sister named Mary S. Cowan who married Michael V. McCann.

Additional Comments:
Jane and Robert are this submitter's 3rd great grandparents.
