Victor Hugo Lambour in France was Viktor Hugo Lambur and came to the US in 1844 from ElsaB-Lothringen Alsace Lorraine France. Bertha was born in Ohio. Her father was born in New York and her mother Ohio.From Toledo, Eugene moved with his parents to Rarden, Scioto Co. Ohio. This is where his parents are buried. Eugene married Alma Marie Boyd b. Russell Co. Virginia to Charles Bunyan Boyd and Minnie Belle Grizzle.Eugene went to war was wounded and was given the Purple Heart for injuries he recieved in Tunesia. He fought at Kascrine Pass, El Geuttar, at Gabes, at Sedjanane and Hill 609. Eugene and Marie divorced and he moved to Anderson Indiana where he married Alice McCarty. Eugene is buried in East Maple Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana. Charles married Minnie Belle Grizzle daughter of Solomon Harvey Grizzle and Universal Grizzle on February 20, 1879 in Russell Co. VA. Charles Bunyan was a rail road worker in VA and a farmer in Ohio. He lived on a farm which sat in both Pike and Scioto Co. Ohio. The county division marker was directly behind their home. Charles died on February 11, 1963 in Xenia, Ohio after staying their with his daughter. He is buried in Mt. Joy Christian Church Cemetery in Rarden twp. Scioto Co. Ohio. Charles Bunyan Boyd was the son of John Lewis Boyd and Jacintha Catherine Remines Boyd. Minnie and Charles married in Russell Co. Virginia. Minnie knew how to live off the land like a true pioneer. He died on July 19, 1997 in Haddonfield or Brown Mills, New Jersey. This photo had to be taken between, March 10, 1913 and May 11, 1914. It is a 4 generation photo. Eunice being the mother of Alice, Alice the mother of Roy and Roy the father of Helen. Looking at the size of Helen as a baby, I would have to say it is close to the death of Eunice and most like in spring of 1914 in that they are not wearing coats and are out side and it was taken in Urbana, Champaign co. Ohio to William H. Shepard and Alice Idema Biddle Shepard. Ezra Roy, and Thessel Geuy ran off to Canada, got married , returned home and did not tell thier parents for some time. After Thessels death, he married Ethel A. Tallman on Jan. 20, 1945 in Urbana, Champaign co. Ohio. They divorced. Roy died in a Colby Hospital in Kansas on May 26, 1964. He is buried in Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana, Champaign co. Ohio. He came to the US and lived with an Uncle in PA.changing his name to Geuss. He married Mercy (Martha) S. Van Horn of Bucks Co. PA. daughter of Samuel Van Horn and Mercy Lovett Van Horn on September 28, 1856. Christian was a Member of the 42 Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. He went awol for one day, the day his first child was born. When his last child was born, Mercy died and he left the eldest daughter to raise the remaing children and went to live with his brother George's family in Toledo, Lucas co. Ohio. After two years he married Marian Momentaheir on abt. 1876. He died on April 22, 1889 and is buried in Pasco, Shelby Co. Ohio. In 1900 Christians family changed the name to Geuy. One son changed his again to Guoy. So the history of the name is Geis/Geuss/Geuy and for one Guoy. Various People were soldiers in the Civil war including Cicero Kent, George Kent, and Hiram Kent. Hiram at one time was a member of the Squirrel Hunters Brigade. All in Ohio , Cicero lived in Madison co., Paris, Union co. and Urbana, Champaign co. Ohio. Hiram lived in Madison and Union Co. Ohio and George Ray lived in Union co. Ohio. Hiram was the father of both Cicero and George Ray Kent. This photo is one of them. Hiram Kent the father of Cicero and George Ray Kent was a member of the Squirrel Hunters Brigade. Cicer Kent and George Ray Kent were Civil War Soldiers. Because Cicero spent more time in the military and was of higher rank and thid photo shows added weapons, I suspect this photo to be of Cicero Kent whom lived in Paris Union co. Ohio, Madison co. Ohio and Urbana, Champaign co. Ohio. George Ray lived in Union co. Ohio and Hiram lived in Franklin, Montgomery, Greene, Madison and Union co. Ohio but was born in Franklin Co. Ohio dieing in Union co. Ohio but buried in Madison co. Ohio in the old Bigelow Cemetery on Rosedale Rd.
