Hartwig, 51, of Rt. 1, Haviland, were at 2 p m today in St Paul Lutheran Church, Haviland, the Rev. Fred Grosse of officiating Burial was in Live Oak Cemetery. Paulding Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct gaveside services. Mr. Hartwig died 3 p.m. Thursday in Paulding County Hospital after being a patient eight weeks. Born Jan. 25, 1918, in Paulding County, he was the son of Fred and Gertie (Hasse) Hartwig. He was a farmer and an employe of Central Foundry in Defiance. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Widow's Son Lodge F & AM, the Corona Chapter of OES, the Cecil Grange, the Hicksville Eagles Lodge and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Ruth Baker; six daughters, Mrs. Neil (Mae) Green of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Gray, Mrs. Doyle (Florence) Sanderson, Mrs. Richard (Carrie) Cotterman, Mrs. Robert (Deeanne) Adkins all of Paulding and Mrs Ralph (Frieda) Hammons of Cloverdale; three brothers.
