Age 76, died Sept 17, 1972 at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1896 in Paulding County, Ohio. A former employee of the Novo Engine Co. for 28 years and was the custodian at the North Street Church of the Nazarene for 15 years. Surviving are the wife Katherine N.; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Ayers and Mrs. Charles (Ena) Mulford, both of Lansing; five grandchildren; six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. from the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with Rev. C. Kenneth Sparks from the North Street Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment in Gunnisonville Cemetery. Additional Comments: Forest Cokonougher was first cousin to the Cokonougher families of the South Salem area of Ross County, Ohio. The wife of Forest was Katherine "Naimeh Touma" Nina Joseph, daughter of Thomas Nemer "Nemer Yousef Touma" Joseph and Mariam "Mary" Khalil Touma. His father was John Elwood Cokonougher, son of Adtson Elsworth and Elizabeth (Shoemaker) Cokonougher, and his mother was Luella Etta (Case) Cokonougher. The sisters of Forest were Goldie Faye (Cokonougher) Burch, Etta Mae (Cokonougher) Wooten, and Icie Cokonougher. Harley Elwood Cokonougher was the brother of Forest.
