James Cain – Mary Cain Kishler

Be it known that I Mary Kishler in consideration of four hundred dollars to her 
paid by James Cain do hereby? and sell and convey to the said James Cain his 
heirs and assigns forever the following real estate viz. one fourth of twenty 
five acres of land willed by Lodwick Brandt to Elizabeth Cain, I being one of 
the heirs of said Elizabeth, said land being in the North West quarter of 
Section fourteen in Township Sixteen of Range Sixteen Chillicothe Land District 
and  in Perry County Ohio and described as follows beginning forty rods East of 
the South West corner of said quarter in the South line, thence North forty 
rods, thence East one hundred rods thence South forty rods to South line and 
thence West one hundred rods to the place of beginning. Together with all the 
privileges and appertenances to the same belonging. To have and to hold the 
same to the said James Cain his heirs and assigns forever hereby  covenanting 
that they own the property so conveyed in fee simple and without incumbrance 
and that she will  warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever in 
testimony whereof the said Mary Kishler who hereby releases all claim hereunto 
set her hand and seal this eighteenth day of January 1850. Mary (her mark)
