We have a large family of Melick in Hopewell and Madison Township, Perry
County and Newton Township, Muskingum County.  Were they German
speaking? Any of them known Brethren?

J. W. Melick - near White Cottage
James K., Alexander H. and Isaac H. Melick, 1895, buying Bowser property
in Hopewell.
Robert,  Melick, of Madison Township married Margaret Clark in abt 1845.

Alex. Melick owned several quarter-sections of land in 1875 Madison
Township.  Wm. O Melick also owned nearby land.

I know nothing else about this family. But could expand on these
comments in a bit more detail if someone is interested.  But I am
particulary intrested in hearing of any German speaking or Brethren
Melicks.  Hal
