New Lexington Herald, New Lexington, OH, Apr 10, 1919, page 1
The body of private W. D. Deavers, aged 28, who died at an army hospital on 
Ellis Island, where he became ill after returning from France, arrived here 
Wednesday afternoon, and was taken to the family home in Dixie. Funeral 
services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, by Rev. Mr. Steen of 
Junction City, and burial with military honors was made in New Lexington 
cemetery.
