DREISBACH LORBACH born May 12, 1866 (docs Oct 29, 1897 and Jun 4, 1898) Declarations, affidavits, etc. in support of pension claim: Apr 24, 1895--JACOB BROWN, aged 69 years, resident of Circleville, Pickaway Co, OH; stated that he knew MARTIN E. DREISBACH well before the war and that he was an able-bodied man; that he was in the same company and regiment as claimant; that in the line of duty in 1864 claimant suffered sunstroke at Norfolk, VA or City Point, VA; witnesses A.J. McCauley and John A. Lutz. Jun 7, 1895--JOEL R. RIFE, aged 66 years, resident of Washington Twp, Pickaway Co, OH; stated that he has known MARTIN E. DREISBACH for over forty years and lived near him before the war; that in 1864 claimant suffered sunstroke. Jul 7, 1896--MARTIN E. DREISBACH, aged about 70 years, resident of the city of Circleville, Pickaway Co, OH; declaration for invalid pension; claimed disability due to heart disease; witnesses Ira S. Dreisbach who has known claimant for about 2 years and H.P. Lorbach who has known claimant for about 12 years, both residents of Circleville, OH. Feb 15, 1907--MARTIN E. DREISBACH, aged 80 years, resident of Circleville, Pickaway Co, OH; declaration for pension; stated that he was born Sep 8, 1826 at Union Co, PA; that since leaving the service he has resided at Pickaway Co, OH; witnesses Henry Joseph who has known claimant for 5 years and Matt Smith, Jr. who has known claimant for 5 years, both residents of Circleville, OH.
