She had been in failing health. Mrs. Halliday was born Jan. 23, 1910 in Pike Co., Ohio to John Erwin Frost and Eva Leoto Tener Frost. She had lived in this community since 1932. She received her teaching certificate from Otterbein College and formerly taught in a one-room school. She later was a bookkeeper at Carroll Halliday, Inc. Mrs. Halliday was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of Associate Chapter #1 of Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Halliday on Sept. 27, 1972; by a daughter, Joan Halliday Grove on April 23, 1985; two brothers, Robert E. and John E. (Jack) Frost and a sister, Evelyn Carpenter. Mrs. Halliday is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronald Mafrige of Houston, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Penne Halliday of Washington C.H.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
