ASKINS
 Mrs. Mary Askins, 70, of 114 West Fourth St., Waverly, died Wednesday, April 
4, 1990 at a Pike County hospital.
 Born April 2, 1920 in Pike County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and 
Anna B. McKinney Whaley.
 Prededed in death her husband, Conley Askins, on Jan. 20, 1975, she is 
survived by two sons, Donald Pettit of Plains City, and Robert Pettit of Mesa, 
Ariz.; three sisters, Cora Pettit of Waverly, Mrs. Levi (Muriel) Blair of 
Clarksburg, and Mrs. Sarah Sager of Amlin; three grandchildren; and a great-
grandson.
 Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with the Rev. 
Mark Polley officiating, and interment in Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery.
 Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until 
the service Saturday.
