HOBERT C. CASSIDY HOBERT CLINTON CASSIDY of Washington C.H., died at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 in his home. He was born May 9, 1928 in Pike County, Ohio, to ERNEST CASSIDY and BERTHA (COOK) CASSIDY. He is survived by his wife VIOLA (HESTER) (COKONOUGHER) CASSIDY, whom he married Oct. 4, 1996. Also surviving are two step-sons, RALPH COKONOUGHER of Logan, and CLIFFORD COKONOUGHER of Bainbridge, Ohio; two step-daughters, JUDY WICAL of Washington C.H., and SHIRLEY DAVIS of Greenfield; 15 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great- grandchildren; one brother, ALLEN CASSIDY of Washington C.H.; one sister and brother-in-law, SHIRLEY and WILLIAM SMITH of Washington C.H., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, GERALD CASSIDY and CHARLES CASSIDY; three sisters, NORMA CASSIDY, ELEANOR CASSIDY, and ELLA MAE SWISSELEM. Mr. Cassidy was a former employee of Wayne Township and the State of Ohio. Funeral in Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, Ohio. Burial in Centerville Cemetery at Lees Creek. Additional Comments: Hobert was partially deaf due to a childhood accident. He received very little formal education, due to his handicap, but was a man of intelligence. He was well liked by his friends and community, and loved sports. Hobert died of lung cancer. He had been a heavy smoker for most of his life.
