State of Ohio Marriage Record
Certificate No.:     1908

Affidavit, the State of Ohio, Portage County.
I, John English, father of Margaret Jane English, having made an application 
for a licence for William B. Micle and and Margaret Jane English, and being 
duly sworn, says that William B. Micle is of the age of 21 years, and has no 
wife living, and that Margaret Jane English, is of the age of 17 years, a 
resident of said county, and has no husband living, that said parties are not 
nearer than 1st. cousins, and that there is no legal impediment to their 
marriage.
Sworn to and subscribed before me this 12th. day of January AD 1869

Additional Comments:
William B. Micle and Margaret Jane English were married January 14, 1869 in 
Shalersville, Ohio by S. G. Eldridge Justice of the Peace. William was 25 and 
Margaret was 17. They were married nearly 60 years until death separated them.
