When several of their sons & a son-in-law fought for the Union Army they were disowned by the Quakers till they returned after the war. The D'Camp history goes back to the arrival of Lawrence DeCamp in 1664. When a daughter of Hannah & John died after the birth of her 2nd child her parents took the babe, Benj. Franklin Bourne, and raised him. He was murdered on the old homestead by a farm hand for his money. Benj. brother was raised by his father & uncle and hung himself in the barn, age 21. Nina
