Barnhizer Funeral Wednesday LEIPSIC, Nov. 6 - Mrs. Eliza Frances Barnhizer, 91, died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday in her residence one mile southwest of Leipsic where she had lived for 75 years. She was seriously ill two weeks and death was due to infirmities. A daughter of Levi [erroneous, should read Eli] and Sidney (Foreman) Andrews, she was born in Putnam County, April 19, 1858. She married Thomas J. Barnhizer on Dec. 4, 1884, and he died Feb. 27, 1934. Mrs. Barnhizer is survived by a daughter, Miss Martha Floy Barnhizer, with whom she resided and two foster children, Marjorie and Robert Moratt, both at the residence. Surviving also are three grandchildren, Regis Earl Barnhizer, Youngstown; Thomas Park, Trilby, and Mrs. Mary G. Eninger, Deshler. Two sons, Chester D. and Kingdon E. Barnhizer are deceased. There are five great grandchildren. Six sisters and three brothers are dead. Mrs. Barnhizer had been a member of the Leipsic Church of Christ since 1884. Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Purnell funeral home in Leipsic. The Rev. A.C. Mattern will officiate. Interment will be in Sugar Ridge Cemetery. The body will remain in the mortuary for services. Additional Comments: Her son Chester Defay was killed in an auto accident July 22, 1917 and Kingdon Eli was killed Jan 18, 1938 when his auto was struck by a train.
