Rachel E. Palte, 64, died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Rectory 
following an apparent heart attack.
She was born Nov. 24, 1918 in Baltic, Mich., the daughter of George and 
Elizabeth Miller Singleton. She married Lawrence H. Palte who died in 1962.
Mrs. Palte was secretary of St. Anthony's Parish. She was a member of St. 
Anthony's Catholic Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, Catholics Ladies of 
Columbia and the Bowers-Slusser American Legion Post Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence J. Palte of Columbus Grove; a daughter, Mrs. 
Gary (Marge) Hohenbrink of Ottawa; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Marge 
R. Paduan of Columbus Grove and Rose Singleton of Baltic, Mich.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, rev. 
David A. Sartorius officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Memorial 
contributions may be made to St. Anthony's School Library.
