Lima News, Wednesday, October 18, 1944
Mrs. Charles Simpkins, 78, died early Wednesday morning at her residence near 
Columbus Grove.  She was a member of the Congregational Christian church.

She is survived by her husband; a foster daughter, Juanita; a brother, Wesley 
Cunningham of Berrien Center, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Sawtell of Toledo; 
and three half brothers, Daniel and Arch Johnson of Columbus Grove, and Jess 
Johnson of Fostoria.

Mrs. Simpkin’s body will remain at the Hartman Sons funeral home in Columbus 
Grove, where final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday.  Rev. Ray N. Seely 
will conduct the services.  Burial will be in Truro cemetery.
