He was born Feb. 7, 1942 in Ross County to the late Leslie Freshour and Beatrice (Newland) Freshour. He was a member of the F.O.E. #1325 and a 1961 graduate of Buckskin High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 through 1967 and the U.S. Navy Reserve. Freshour was a retired airplane machinist for Corvair after 21 years of employment. Currently he was employed as a paper carrier with Brown Publishing. He is survived by son Scott Freshour of Hillsboro; daughters, Regina Reece, and Martha Hopkins, both of Vista, Calif.; four sisters, Jean Yates of Greenfield, Sue Borreson of Greenfield, Phyllis Newlan of Washington C.H., and Helen Conley of Leesburg; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Reynold and Betty Freshour, Richard and Connie Freshour, Howard and Anne Freshour, and James Freshour, all of Greenfield; eight grandchildren and special friend Pat Spry of Mt. Orah. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Elaine (Beasley) Freshour, who died Nov. 1968. He married Elaine May 1, 1964. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Gary Lee Freshour and Dean Freshour and an infant sister. Services by Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
