HAFER William Saul Hafer, 60, Greenfield Rt. 1, died 3:25 p.m. Wednesday in Greenfield Municipal Hospital. Born May 6, 1917, in Ross County, he was the son of William A. and Susie Linton Tittler Hafer. Mr. Hafer was a member of the Greenfield Eagles Lodge, the Chillicothe Moose Lodge, and the Bainbridge American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II. He was married to the former Virginia M. Hodge, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Greenfield; four sons: Gerald, Watertown, S.D.; David, Greenfield; and Robert and John, both at home; three daughters: Mrs. Richard (Suzanna) Van Sickle and Mrs. Robert (Salley) Armstrong, both of Columbus; and Mary Hafer, at home; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert, Greenfield Rt. 1, and Donald, Greenfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Fitzpatrick, Lilly Chapel, Ohio, and Mrs. Myrtle Stookey, Greenfield.
