The following is from the 15 August 1907 Vol. 7, No. 17, Greenfield, Ohio "The Greenfield Republican":

     OSCAR HESTER, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. FRANK HESTER, born January 17, 
1903; died August 5, 1907, after an illness of only a few days aged four 
years, six months, and eighteen days.  Besides Mother, and a little sister, 
there are many relatives, friends and playmates left to mourn his loss, which 
will be greatly felt by all who knew him:
          Although his life was short on earth,
          God thought it best,
          To take little Oscar unto him,
          Where he is safe and at rest,
          Although he's gone, he's not forgotten,
          Never will his memory fade,
          Forever will our kind thoughts linger,
          Around the grass where he is laid.
                                                    A Friend. 


Additional Comments:
Oscar was the son of Frank Hester and Rosa (Clark) Hester, and the grandson of 
Joseph Hester and Hannah (Long) Hester, and William Wesley Clark and Mary Ann 
(Sinclaire) Clark.  
The following is from the 8 August 1907 , Vol. 7, No. 16, Greenfield, 
Ohio "The Greenfield Republican":
LOWER TWIN VALLEY.
     Oscar, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. FRANK HESTER, died August 5.  It 
was quite a shock as he was only sick five days.  Funeral services held 
Wednesday at the home.
